Clayful Coaching: Measurable Mental Health Benefits for Students
Clayful’s latest white paper highlights the transformative impact of chat-based coaching on middle school students. Students who engaged in just two or more sessions saw a 47% improvement in depressive symptoms and a 33% reduction in anxiety scores. Among students with elevated anxiety scores, 80% participated in at least one coaching session. This research reinforces the power of proactive, non-clinical mental health support in school settings, helping students manage emotions and thrive.
About the Study:
Conducted during the 2023–2024 school year at a middle school in Washington, the study used validated measures like the PHQ-4 questionnaire to assess outcomes. The results demonstrate that Clayful’s chat-based coaching fills critical gaps in student mental health services, offering scalable, accessible, and effective support for grades 3–12.
