Clayful’s ESSA Level II research study highlights how proactive coaching improves student attendance and engagement.
Clayful Coaching: Proven Impact Across Demographics
Clayful’s ESSA Level II research study highlights how coaching improves student attendance and engagement for all demographics. The program’s impact spans gender and socioeconomic backgrounds, delivering measurable improvements in attendance and fostering equity in educational outcomes. In this particular study, 39% of district middle and high school students participated in one or more Clayful coaching chats during the 2022-23 school year, with students at risk for anxiety or depression tending to participate in more coaching chats than their peers.
Clayful’s alignment with federal ESSA standards ensures schools can confidently invest in evidence-based interventions that support their students.
About ESSA Evidence Levels:
Clayful’s studies have achieved ESSA Level II, III, and IV certifications, reflecting a solid foundation of evidence and demonstrating its effectiveness in real-world educational settings.
The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) establishes four levels of evidence to evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs:
1. Level I (Strong Evidence): Based on randomized control trials.
2. Level II (Moderate Evidence): Involves well-designed quasi-experimental studies with statistically significant results.
3. Level III (Promising Evidence): Relies on correlational studies with controlled variables.
4. Level IV (Demonstrates a Rationale): Supported by a strong logic model and existing research.
Clayful’s alignment with federal ESSA standards makes it eligible for Title I funding, allowing school districts to allocate resources to evidence-based interventions with demonstrated impact. By meeting rigorous standards for improving student outcomes, Clayful empowers districts to make confident, data-driven decisions when addressing the critical needs of their students.
